I don't know. It ended up doing fuck all in Sun/Moons plot and it's stats are very mediocre across the board. It's gimmick is basically a copy of Arceus except worse. The design itself also isn't much of a step up compared to Type: Null. I just can't help but feel there is a whole lot of wasted potential with this Pokemon.

That's the point. It's a failed attempt to recreate Arceus and was abandoned until Gladion runs off with one.
I'd honestly have that as opposed to all the shit Lucario got, remember that huge Mega Lucario statue in X/Y? GF is terrible at promoting Pokemon because they go so over the top that it results in more people hating said Pokemon than anything. Silvally has it just right.
It's also okay after a Swords Dance.
