Finally finished my Pokedex earlier today and got the Shiny Charm. Was about to call it a day but decided to try SOS for anything, ended up being Grubbin. SOS'd for about an hour and a half and was about to call it quits after 5 more and was lucky to have it pop up. Evolved it asap.
Now Im on Rockruff, been going at it for bout an hour and a half. Gonna grind for another hour or so before calling it a night.

Had this happen last night after a couple hours and about 110 eggs or so. Wrong ability. Am now an extra 150 or so eggs in and still going. If I had it in a Dive Ball I would have been happy with the 6 IV I got before, but alas my balltism would be triggered.

Was breeding for a shiny Munchlax with Pick up for my shiny pick up team yesterday but forgot parents pass on the ability so most of them had Thick fat. I bred an Immunity Snorlax and put it in to breed and went back to hatching the Munchlax eggs I had already bred, and got a shiny Thick fat Munchlax. Fuck grinding another 100bp for another ability capsule. I'm breeding a second shiny Munchlax. Already grinded 100bp for my shiny A-Meowth to get Pick up.

So I was breeding scythers and hatched an egg last night but this morning I opened 18 eggs in pokemon pelagio and got a second shiny scyther. Anyone up for trading shinies? It's 5iv with decent Atk and adamant. Nothing a bottle cap can't fix when it's lvl 100. Has swarm but that's also fixable with either ability capsule or mega scizor. I accidentally a shiny avulpix and shiny oricorio. Was just breeding for ivs. Unfortunately they came with shit ivs from my first couple rounds. I could bottle cap them but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Avulpix got modest nature and snow cloak instead of warning. At least oricorio is timid.

Don't think so. You've just got shit luck. As far as I can tell, the Masuda Method + Shiny Charm in SM brings the chance to around 1/512. My first shiny took me around 270-300 and my second took me around 750, so it averages out roughly.

MMing is more reliable for IVs and nature, has egg moves, is always 1/512 with shiny charm, and can be faster in some cases.

I picked up a 6iv ditto in a giveaway thread (obviously hacked), gave it the destiny knot and kept breeding mimikyus and replacing the parent when I found a better one.

Also, bred pokemon inherit parents balls. Usually the mothers or the non-dittos, but there are a few exceptions.

There are no double battles that can be repeated, so you must use wild Smeargle to Sketch your moves and then have your own Smeargle Sketch the wild Smeargle to learn the move.

It means that the number that tracks encounters only goes from 0 to 255 and it rolls back to 0 once it gets over that. From there it's treated like you had started a brand new chain.
