I had to go through it about 10 times literally because I never bought enough Potions and Revives. To beat Kukui I literally got through it with one Pokémon left and lots of X Attacks, etc. it was nice to finally be challenged.

Because you aren't the only gifted child trainer in the world. If 10-16 year old kids can fight legendary monsters, traverse dimensions to combat other worldy beasts and take on the strongest trainers in the world in only a few days after starting their journey, then a loli can become a E4

I use pokemon I like, some minmaxed and some not - and with a team with levels around 60-80 I still find them pretty difficult, the battles keep me on my toes.
