Out of Mainseries games, its probably Platinum, but out of every pokemon game, the mainseries don't even come close.

Colosseum is more difficult than any main series Pokemon game because you're heavily restricted in team variety and the bosses use actual strats against you, and then Stadium/Battle Revolution is more difficult than Colosseum.

I would say the Raticate fight is harder just based on bulk/attack power. Versus Gumshoos who's AI is obsessed with the opponent's speed.

Moon's only harder battle was Sina instead of Dexio. But on Dexio's fight I had 5/6 dark types, so it leaves me quite biased.

Platinum, HGSS and Moon gave me the hardest times

Gen 3 was a good challenge. Gen 5 had challenging spikes and a decent ride for the rest. Gen 6 is brain dead easy
