Balltism is really just caring about which ball your Pokemon goes in. It can be anything from matching appearance to matching theme, or even keeping your whole team or every Pokemon you catch in matching balls. Basically, if you put thought into what you catch Pokemon with, you fall somewhere on the Balltism spectrum. There's no right or wrong.

And yes, the seven graphics show which balls are legal to catch each Pokemon, with the circles being balls that, pre-Bank, aren't currently legal.

Person who made the pics here, and no, it isn't. Serebii has a similar page that lists the minimum levels every Pokémon can be at in every possible Poké Ball (which I was unaware of when I made the pics, would've saved me a lot of time), but the ball sprites are only shown in the header and you have to hover over each level value to see which ball it's referring to. I figured it would be more convenient for balltism purposes to just have all the ball sprites next to each Pokémon so you can see what it can be bred in at a glance. Serebii's page is pretty much just for legality checking purposes, mine are more "I want to breed X, I wonder what balls I can breed it in?" Plus I marked the illegal hidden abilities which Serebii doesn't have on that page.

There's always a Net Ball for 3* catch rate if you don't care about the first one and it at least matches with him being a Bug type.

Idea for Pokemon Stars

Poke Pelago gets a new island where Kurt decided to move to for vacation but he can't get his work off his mind and feels empty without it. So you can put specific color beans, or maybe shards, or even evolution stones, in the basket and in 24 hours you'll have as many Pokeballs as the item you gave, and he'll have a list of what items give you what ball (Moon stone for Moon Ball, obviously, Green Shards for Friend Ball, Yellow for Level, Fire Stone for Fast, etc etc).

There's a pretty healthy trading scene around the internet, not to mention giveaways. The things about this gen is with the one chance to use the Apricorn Balls, you can still get most mons in whatever you want because of breeding. As long as someone did it somewhere or injected it and then bred and traded from it, you can get your hands on one to breed yourself. But with Legends, there will only ever be as much as someone caught. They can't be bred, so the only way to get one is to catch it yourself or have someone trade it to you.

Using all your appropriate Apricorn Balls on Legends leaves you little to trade with outside of Beast Ball mons, of course. But you can still work your way up by jumping a trade you can still make or taking advantage of giveaways, breeding those, then working you way up to what else you want like some kind of free form trading chain. It's because of this I'm almost certain the single Apricorn Ball availability is to encourage exactly this kind of behavior, as is the new Ball inheritance mechanic.

I think Net ball is still too perfect for it. It's a Bug AND Water type, and the watery net when it comes out just fits a aquatic spider too much.

Anon who made it here.
I didn't have a template for all the Pokemon, I actually made the whole thing from scratch and had to copy paste every single mon and ball one by one. Sure, I could remove most of the balls. The problem is that some balls cover parts of the Pokemon and filling in the hole left by the ball would be quite a hassle since I copied them from moving gifs. I already worked on this for a whole week as well. I'd like to take a break for now.
Sorry, either you'll have to remove the balls yourself or you have to deal with the Pokemon having holes and missing limbs.

Like catching a Lunatone in a Moon Ball, or breeding a Slowpoke in a Dream Ball, or a Shiny Charizard in a Luxury Ball.
