I'm on a mac with Parallels installed, and I'm having trouble opening the .bin files that contain the textures and animations. I've tried expanding them with Unarchiver and Stuffit Expander, but both can't recognize the file type for some reason. Can anyone help?

Unlike .jpg or .mp3, .bin isn't always the same format. It's just short for "binary" or "binary lump" or "binary bin", etc. Generic filename extension for data.

Ohana3ds opens just fine, and the package I downloaded has DirectX with it, so the drop-down menus for animations/textures work fine, but contain nothing.

also overworld characters from xy and oras sometime may require to use the last texture rather than first one and viceverse

downlaod screentogif, worked well for me and is simple to use and edit, you can make long gifs and eventually convert them with the online converters, crashes very rarely but it's comfy and easy to use, saves videos in windows media files that occupy tons of space but can be converted with 4chan's webm converter into light webms and eventually deleted

as for me i need to know how to zoom on a laptop without mouse, so far i've been posting many gifs but beside moving and rotating the models i want to know how to zoom on them
