I haven't had the opportunity to test TR at length but in doubles, at least, I don't see why it's mocked. Many Pokémon have their 10% nature Stat boost plus 62 Stat points via EVS put into speed, so to turn those stats into essentially wasted investments while you're able to abuse more stats elsewhere seems legitimate, at least in theory.

Oricorio is basically a free third move in doubles with the right team. You can Quiver/Swords/Dragon Dance and Baton Pass it in the same turn, combine any of those three with its own Swords Dance or Calm Mind, or U-Turn/Volt Switch over to it and have it copy any of the above or Petal/Fiery/Feather Dance. It can also make an opponent reconsider using any of those moves.
