You can get a Golisopod rather easily though, get all the rare candy you can before route 8, and you can get more by feeding your pokemon a lot of pokebeans and talking to the guy at the cafe. Then, once you have 10 or 12, go to Wimpod's little cove area, run into him on Tauros, Use a quickball on him, which you can buy on that route's pokemon center. If the quickball fails, give him a status condition and use a net ball.
