I couldn't even kill Haka's Crabominable without nasty plot (though I was pretty underleveled), and Ice Hammer ohko'd her. You can only set up on grasses, bugs, and fairies, and that's only if they don't have a coverage move (read: anything that deals neutral damage). Besides, the AI hardly lets you set up a nasty plot that's worth having, since most trainers only have like 2 or 3 pokes. Corrosion is almost useless; you may as well just kill the steel type while you're at it.

That said, Salazzle is fun and I love that typing. I'm looking forward to trying to find some niche in a competitive team for her... Should be a good lategame sweeper if you can set up for it.

I had the same experience as you. Usually I just use the fire Z-move if I'm not 100% sure I can OHKO (which is often), because let's face it, if you get hit you die.

I don't think I've ever used a glass cannon quite this frail, except maybe Heliolisk. It's fun to use, though, and occasionally poisoning a Steel type is fun.

It's not as bad as the owl, which just feels like dead weight to my party towards the end of the game. It gets 2HKO'd by so much and doesn't pack enough punch to hit anything hard enough. Even Gastrodon didn't get OHKO'd by Leaf Blade, and I have to keep both Leaf Blade and Energy Ball around just so that I can hit the right type of defense.

Maybe you just got shit IV's on Decidueye, because mine is the MVP of my team.

Mudsdale and Golisopod are the slow tanks which will never outspeed anything EVER, Raichu and Salazzle are glass cannons, and Ninetales is a balanced mix, while Decidueye is good at everything. I luckily got a Jolly nature and didn't even reset to get it, and it reliably outspeeds most things its level and is capable of taking quite a few hits, plus switching in on Normal and Fighting is great.
