It wasn't until quite a while after brawl's release that people realised "hey we can just continue playing melee". With smash 4 there is loads of people who never displayed any interest in it from the get-go. More drafting potential wouldn't be bad in all honesty. The restriction at the moment is a party of 6, with a draft of 4 that is used in the actual battle. If you upped the party count to something like 8 or 10 it would allow for more counter play picks in the party that can potentially be drafted for the battle. This would be great for even 6v6s.

The people who openly cheat in the VGC should be all out banned from the VGC the moment they're caught. These worthless fucks are the reason the meta is so unfun for people who actually want to put the work in now, the competitors and their teams should be way more closely policed. Cheaters can quick swap teams and have more Pokemans. You'd have a completely different group of people if it was actually legit. The majority of those hackers wouldn't have a full team ready and wouldn't get anywhere.

You saw this in some competition a while back where some guy admitted he swapped a hacked Raichu in to his team because he couldn't breed it in time and he wanted to change. You'd see a totally different outcome plain and simple if the game was actually played legitimately.

That's one example of one mon that he used. Unless his battle came down to a 1v1 with that raichu and he won specifically because it was injected rather than bred I would agree with you but I don't see how anyone who plays this game enough wouldn't have time to breed a perfect mon. I don't even play competitive as much as most people on this board and even I have had time to breed perfect versions of mons I want to use. It doesn't seem like injecting changes that much.

How much better would it be if instead of a party of 6 to draft a team of 3/4 for singles/doubles that the party was increased to 8 or 10 for multiplayer battles? No it's not a 8v8 or 10v10 single/double battle, I mean to say that it just gives players a larger pool of reserves to draft against an opponent before they actually battle.
