Shiny Fail Thread

I'd been playing the series since the start, and never saw a shiny until Diamond... and it was a Quagsire in the Great Marsh. One failed ball, and it ran on the first turn. Didn't see another until BW2. Fuck the Safari Zone/Great Marsh. I hope it never comes back.

1/8192 random ass Moltres popped up on my screen when i was 8-10, fucker killed itself after 90+ turns of throwing Ultra Balls, i was sad, since it was actually my first ever Shiny legend, and no other pokemon has caught me by surprise like that Moltres.

Even though it robbed me of a Seaking, I kinda miss the Safari Zone. I always felt let down when I got to Fuschia City in Gen 2 because it just felt empty. The Friend Safari had the right idea though, none of that running bullshit.

A couple years ago I decided to go and replay Emerald, and I ran into a shiny poochyena while I was on my way to get my first batch of pokeballs. I couldn't bring myself to knock it out though, so I ended up just closing the game, and I don't think I've played it since.

I don't. I can't wait until it's not there in the DP remakes, and everyone is bitching, and I'm thrilled. Yes, I'm still bitter about that lost shiny almost 10 years ago.

I only started playing a year two back, after not playing since gen1.
Ive never had a shiny pokemon appear in any of the games.

I just caught a shiny magikarp in moon. Is it worth more than a shiny gyarados? (It sure does look cooler)

I meant to have a Pokemon with spore or thunder wave in my party, but my autism kicked in and I forgot. I'm hoping this thing doesn't struggle itself to death, because it looks like that's where this is headed.

I was outside the school early, 2 people where there, it was decently sunny. I was horde battling for a spinda, and a horde of swablus came, so I ran. Out of the corner of my eye, a yellow one was there. The glare blocked must have blocked my view. I was like "OH NO!" and I did that sad laugh of defeat, the kind of laugh that's like, you fucked up, there's no way to fix it, it's no big deal but it sucks real hard. One of the people there was Erik, he was like "Really" and then "Aww man, that sucks" and the other chick was Alexis, she had a fat ass. She did that laugh like, the "look at this cringy faggot, I don't know what he's saying but he's acting pretty silly, kek." It was a sad day.

If you're really desperate for one, chain fishing in Gen VI can be super quick. I tried it twice, and both times had a shiny within 20-30 minutes.

In Leafgreen, the old man that taught me how to catch a pokemon caught a shiny weedle. It made me seethe with rage.

I see. Is there even a point in leveling it to 99 then? Sry if dumb question, I haven't played since the original ruby came out on my GBA SP. I had one shiny spinda back then that I didn't bother touching.
