Using one in my Battle Spot team. It's a pretty good role compresser with Fighting/Ground resistance, burn immunity and decent Pheromosa switch in. Currently running it defensively with Resttalk and Scald + Liquidation.

Spider is pretty neat all around, surprisingly. I like to think of it as the opposite of Volcarona, my favorite bug bro. It's a physical water bug (Pic related cause was too lazy to search for art)

One wonders why it did not receive Sticky Web. I originally thought it was fine, because it's from the water so of course it doesn't spin webs, but then I learned it gets Spider Web. So what gives?

I actually really like how Dewpider looks. I like how it has three legs pointing down and three pointing up.

It's probably because I pronounce its name like Jupiter, but it reminds me of a space explorer of some sort with that astronaut-looking bubble it has.
And Araquanid looks like what you would find if you went ice fishing on Europa. Shame it doesn't get Cosmic Power.

Anyone else shocked by how huge Araquanid is? It's basically as big as mega salamence, I was expecting it to be a lot smaller based on the art and the out-of-battle models I had seen.

I ended up encountering a shiny Dewpider IMMEDIATELY after getting Scald. Will go down as one of my most treasured Pokemon moments. Turned out to be Adamant with 31 Attack IVs, too.

Currently just running a defensive set since I needed a Pheromosa switch-in. Wish it had gotten Recover. I would've run Lunge or Leech Life, but uninvested 70 base attack isn't going to do much healing for the latter, and Scald covers the attack reduction for the former.

When it leaked, I kept softresetting for a decent nature(not even beneficial one because even a neutral nature would've fine, just anything that didn't always fucking nerf me in all the worst places) and after about 40 minutes of resetting to bullshit each time, I just hexed it cause I really wanted to play the game.

Why not just RestTalk Liquidation with an empty slot?

I get there's a better chance at using Rest but there's also a better chance at using Liquidation.

Why not go whole hog and use Sleep Talk/Liquidation with Mystic Water.

At the time I was disappointed in how weak Araquanid was, but still intended to use it because I've waited generations for a diving bell spider.

I always imagined it would be defensive and have a Magic Guard clone ability.
