You can't fix Rock anything. Rock is probably THE single objectively worst typing in the entire game.

Rock is currently unsalvageable. They need to just erase some of its weaknesses or give it some useful immunities. Rock is the single reason that NONE of the fossil Pokemon are worth jack shit, purely 100% because they have Rock type attached to them ruining everything.
