As the anons before me have so graciously said, she was banned because of Shadow Tag.

Basically, a Gothitelle used right was would and choose what mon to fight. It find something weak that couldn't kill, boost up, kill whatever it was facing and then sweep.
Even if it sweep was ended, it paved the way for a Stall team to win because their counters were gone.
