Ice Heal is pretty pointless. Ice Pokémon are late game, and by then you have Full Heal.

Also, no move guaranteed to freeze upon hitting.

Didn't they buffed them this gen? I think they boost 2 stages instead of one. Helped me chaining Bewears that were making a lot of damage

The X items were actually pretty useful this gen, since they raise a stat two levels instead of one.

They're basically like having Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Nasty Plot, Amnesia and Agility on every Pokemon, without having to take up any move slots.

Very handy, especially early on.
