Fucking Alomomola in the Totem Den of Lanas trial was worse.

I'm assuming the 1% is to balance out how easy it is to get stuff through trade. You will most likely get something rare through pure luck that can be breed and traded for the others. However, GTS is not that fun, so it isn't a great solution.
