On EV Training

This is the first generation I have actually started breeding and working on creating a competitive team so I'm noob at this.

I am currently using the band that raises attack EV and was doing SOS training on lillipup with experience share on. I killed 20 of the chain lillipups but when I finished the battle the EV looked like it only trained up 50 points.
What am I doing wrong?

But should it nearly be maxed already even without the pokerus?
On other sites it says I should only need to kill 14 to max the stat with a band only.
