I have one of these in Pokemon: Gale of Darkness.

But man is its movepool terrible in Gen. 3, no physical Water STAB meaning I have to use shit like Mud Shot, Double Edge that takes away about half of my HP when I OHKO a Pokemon, Stomp, and etc. I got my shit punched in when I tried to use it in the Orre Colosseum.

Chaizard can't claim that so long as Blastoise exists. Where's Venusaur has been good by its own merits consistently and Charizard is given life support to make sure he remains relevant, Blastoise has been given nothing, not even the logical change to steel type that his mega would imply.
