Always wanted to make a gym based around an island resort, so I thought beachy Pokemon Jynx is sort of reaching with the hula dancer vibe but Bellosom isn't Psychic so fuck.
Did not really think it would come out mostly Gen 1.

Though my original idea would be a both Water and Psychic gym with a two leader double battle, but that's too gimmicky, rippy-offy of Tate&Liza and unfair.

Mine might confuse some people. I created an ice type boss, however seeing as ice is the worst defensive typing in the entire game, I made a team that would fit the ice theme yet also provide a challenge.

Munchlax/Snorlax are there to disrupt anyone who might attempt to use fire types against my Pokemon with it's thick fat ability. It's high HP, SPD and decent attack power create a great threat.

The Litwick, Lampent and Chandelure, similar to Frosslass, are there to completely throw people who thought they could sweep the team with a fire or fighting type for a loop. I also believe they fit the theme of my gym (a ski lodge and resort) by being candles.

Mamoswine has its priority Ice Shard and Earthquake to defeat fire types.

Empoleon is there because penguin, duh, and also to block against fire types. Basically, there is no way you're sweeping this team with fire.

In retrospect, I think adding Chandelure might be a bit much, alternatively I would add Mamoswine in to my full team.

The mega can be Houndoom, and minor Legendary Entei. As a substitute to Pyroar, maybe Flareon (?)

But you're right, I'm stretching the definition with Pryroar. I just felt like giving it some love. Not to mention with Flareon on the team I'd have too many PURE fire types and I'd like to mix it up a bit.
