pikachu is such a shit and simple design, no way he deserves

I was honestly okay with Pikachu in the games themselves. No matter how bad the anime was I thought of them as separate things. Then they went and fucked it up and removed Pikachu's original cry and replaced it with the Anime version. Now I can't stop myself from cringing in disgust every time it appears anywhere.
