The rest of the characters were generic archetypes of the lowest caliber.

Naruto is utter shit and something you should never watch, but it still had character a billion times better than Pokemon. Even the female characters, whom have less character than a fucking tree, shit all over the likes of Serena and SM girls. Ash already said that he want to try the trials, so they may end the SM anime by having ash doing the new Alola league, just like in the games.
