Araquanid offers plenty of role compression for my team right now. With just the typing and ability, it offers Ground and Fighting resistance, burn immunity and a decent Pheromosa switch in. The hard hitting Water moves is a bonus that just lets me run it more defensively.

Well according to all the furries Tsareena is aparently the new hotness. Personally I think it's the ugliest Grass type ever, unseating Serperior, but there it is.

But no, I didn't expect it to be competitively good, and indeed it doesn't seem to be, which is why I questioned that anon's statement that Grass belonged with Bug and Rock in terms of types that made out well in gen 7. With Aurora Veil and new Hail setters Grass is probably the worst type in the game now.
