The only time I ever raised a Pokemon to level 100 without rare candies was gen 5, in Black 2. It was the easiest gen to level things.

only because there was nothing to do after you beat the game so just went through the elite 4 over and over

I raised a ton of pokemon to lv 100 in V gen. Grind in Black Tower was pretty funny.
And my in game teams and both XY was raised to lv 100

All legendaries and event Pokemon are trashmon, and all normal Pokemon can get 6 perfect IV's in like 20 minutes of breeding.

I would like to max legendary IVs but I'll just deal with them being a few points weaker. As for everyone else there's really no point in going past like 40 or 50 which is easy to get to

I only ever did it in gen 2, and that was because of Prime Cup on Stadium 2 requiring you to arbitrarily get to 100.

Even then, halfway through training my team I said fuck it and just used the cloning glitch to clone rare candies and get over the last 20 or so levels.
