i diffed the save file before and after editing earned FC. it's stored as a 2-byte value at offset 50D0C
the current FC amount is also 2-bytes at offset 50D08

PKHeX might complain about checksums when reloading the hex edited file but it'll fix that automagically when you export the save again

this doesn't solve the problem of hoping to find the right facilities from guests though

Anyone know what the maximum plaza rank is? All I've heard is "100+", but I want to know how high it goes.

i've tested up to the 255->256 barrier
the next thing i would test if i wasn't bored out of my mind right now would be whatever level that requires more than 65,535 FCs to unlock
if that works then it looks like there's only space for level to go up to 65535
i'm pretty sure the game can handle more than 65,535 FCs banked because i skimmed through a youtube of someone using PKSM to change their earned FCs to 9,999,999

Is there a newer official version of PkHex? I have the one from PP, and it's the 11/18 version.

I'm pretty sure the max level is 999. It leaves you still needing coins to reach the next rank but you can't earn any more. The game froze when I set it to 65535. Never bothered trying to set it to 1000 exact.

FCs get kinda glitchy at high numbers. I think the shops can only display 5 digits.

try leaving FC > 9,999,999 and set level to 998 then earn FC legit twice
if 1000 works then try 9998->10000
etc. finally try 65534

also go bother michael to get at least spendable FC fixed in PKHeX

I set myself to 1254 and had 0 to next level. I ranked up to 999. I also got offered the same shop as ranking up from 998 to 999 so I guess you can't reroll your next shop.

All they had to do was reward FC for actually playing online and not answer repetitive quiz NPCs.

Reward more FC (and directly) for Wonder Trading, reward a lot of FC for battling on the Battle Spot, even more for winning. Fuck, make it fun to earn it at least.
