I was more triggered by the lack of champion ribbon in the gen 5 games and there was no unique league ribbon for FRLG. HGSS didn't technically have a champion ribbon, but it gave you one if you defeated Red. I want to be able to show that a Pokemon I got went through all of the regions and became a legend in each.

Exactly my thoughts.

I occasionally consider digging up old games and getting a mon I like and fully ribboning it up, then I feel like there's no point because I can't actually go all out with it without the online ribbon(s) from gen 4 that aren't legitimately obtainable anymore.

Tempted to do it the lame way and pick a gen 5 or later mon so I can cover that failing by just saying it would have been impossible to get those old ribbons to begin with.

it has almost any ribbons possible the only ones missing are some from the battle tower although i have at least one from every gen
