It is viable, in UU.

Not everything has to be OU to be "viable", that's what tiers are for.

Why would you want him in OU anyways, UU is a better tier in every way.

Better HA, an ability that inflicts 50% more damage to trapped foes would be nice.

I don't mind if it's not on OU, and I'm honestly rather happy that it's a decent starter compared to most of them in terms of viability and arguably design although a better special movepool to make use of its mixed attacker status or a Sp. Atk cut to raise other stats would be nice.

Are we sure Long Reach doesn't have a hidden effect? It seemed every new ability this gen like Water Bubble and the Box Legend's had one
