It would have died after Gen III. It would either be relegated to spin-offs only (which may or may not include Pachinko), or locked away in the Konami Vault of IPs That Won't Be Used alongside Bomberman.

Gen 2 would have introduced mega evolutions, z-moves would be in gen 3 and far more overpowered, gen 4 would have Pokemon fusions, gen 5 would be on motorcycles and gen 6 would be a pachinko machine.
