I don't think Metagross benefits from 252HP as much as the 252Spe. If you're going to use 252Atk and a Life Orb why not make it an Adamant nature? Like, what would Impish really do for you here? It isn't going to save you from Earthquake.

It worked in the ORAS Battle Maison, it isn't designed for the meta it's just something to use. Pokemon who use EQ as a coverage option sometimes fall short when damaging Metagross.

It's one of the best megas right now since half of the good ones aren't legal until bank, also the mega speed mechanic fix helped it this gen
