You and I both know it won't even come close to OU. The ONLY reason it's getting an analysis is because of it's typing, and that won't carry it far. It has way too many problems to ever be OU unless GF changed it's stats, it's moveset and it's HA.

It'll be UU at best, and even that is a stretch. It's fine for in-game but it is not meant for competitive. If anything it's evidence that GF wanted to see just how hard they could fuck over a water/fairy type and see how low it could go.

Honestly, it feels like they have the opposite problems. Primarina has every coverage option that could help the typing except maybe a fire move for Ferrothorn, on top of the typing itself being very good. But the stats aren't anything special aside from that huge special attack, and there's absolutely no utility moves besides Encore. Delphox has decent stats and utility moves out the ass, but can't use any of those utility moves properly and hates being weak to Pursuit, Sucker Punch and the like. Not to mention that the offensive movepool it has could be a lot better.

I don't get why people are saying that Primarina is outclassed by Fini when they don't even function the same way just by looking at their stats. The only similarities they have is the typing and the lack of recovery. But Primarina functions more like Lele would or even like a special Azumarill. And Fini functions mostly the way Suicune and Milotic does, but without burn support. I'm not saying that Primarina is OU worthy (could end up being the case pre-bank) or that it doesn't have competition, but most of you are looking at the wrong competitors for the most part, except Azu ofc.

I don't know about OU since I'm avoiding that tier until all the cancer is banned, but Primarina has been amazing in the Beta UU tier so far. There's a UU tour currently going on and she's been tearing it apart with that Specs build everyone loves, being easily one of the top 3 mons.
