I liked Gen V, but I think VII was a lot better in terms of the narrative, even though I had issues with it and think Black/White had a stronger conclusion.

I know someone who insists Black/White is the best, though, just because Ghetsis tried to kill you and stuff.

Unovafriend here. I think Gen VII is absolutely fantastic, to the point where I think Gen V and Gen VII are about equal in quality.

I'm a unovabortion and this gen has been fantastic so far. Looking forward to the next games, hopefully sinnohfetuses get their remakes

But dang, Ghetsis just straight up snapping like that and sicing a goddamn dragon on you was kinda intense.

I love Gen V and I love Gen VII. Both offer great and enjoyable games. And Gen VII just started, so there's more to come on the horizon.

I've been playing since Red and Blue were new, but I think Unova is my favorite game with the majority of my favorite pokemon. Am I Unovabortion?

I've been playing since '99, and Unova is my favorite region, and B/W are my favorite overall games.

As for what I think about Gen 7, I think it's mediocre. Not bad, but not good. Waiting for Stars before I make my final call on Gen 7 as a whole.

I'm a johtoddler myself, roughly the time Gen II came out Pokemon got here into slav Eastern europe and got big. Grew up on Crystal and R/S/E.

Got back into it after I saw my mate playing Black. Got myself White and that's what got me back into those games. I absolutely loved the lack of old familiar mons,because I could explore a whole new region full of new, unknown mons. It was truly amazing for me, I have had nothing spoiled for me, I knew no types, pokemon evos etc, so I could just play along blindly. And I loved it.

This easily made Gen V favorite of mine, up to the point I'd define myself as "unovabortion". Gen V relit that spark in me.

As for the question by OP - I loved Gen VII. Too much Gen I pandering to my tastes - everything's about Kanto, Alola mons are Kanto mons, but yeah I get it, it's their cashgrab for normies coming from Pokemon GO.

Other than the Gen I pandering, I've had a lovely time. Great story, just like B/W, refreshing new mons.

I like SM. It's fun and looks nice. It has its flaws, but I'm optimistic for the third game/sequels to fix them.

If there is no third game then I'll be disappointed but I think the gen would end stronger than gen 6 did.

We all hated XY because the characters were crap for the most part, so seeing gamefreak put effort into a storyline again is nice to play through.
