I have no problem with those. The problem is I felt he more and more focus on blank-slate protagonist than rival and important NPC lately. In past arcs for example Green,Silver,Barry and even Wally are important characters. In BW however he ditch Cheren, Bianca and Hugh despite them having both starters and pokedex in-game. In XY he also not give Shauna a starter.(instead make Delphox Malva's bitch instead wtf). That is why I predict he will not give Hau a starter too and diminish Lillie and Gladion's role. Heck, I suspect he may either ignore Primarina line, show Kukui using her in only one scene ala BE Samurott or give her to Lusamine instead.

BW/BW2/XY/and presumably SM are all self-contained as of right now. BW2 is supposed to be a sequel to BW, but there's literally 0 interaction between Black-White and Nate-Rosa since the comic started.
BW is usually a favorite, but if you don't like downers, don't read it until BW2 finishes.
