Does Pokerus become "dormant" and unable to be caught by other pokemon anymore? In older games it turned into a circle symbol and they still had the effects but couldn't pass it on.

It's been four days since I got pokerus and it doesn't seem to be wearing off.

Wait, Pokerus isn't automatic this gen? I checked the status of my Pokemon when I only caught two in route 1 and noticed my Pokemon were infected with it, first time I got Pokerus too. I thought it was just Gamefreak nerfing things again.
