My first wild shiny in gen VII. Dubs names this fucker

Has the shiny rate been increased? I have been playing since Red and Blue were released in the UK, haven't missed a Gen and put a lot of hour in. But in the past almost two decades I have only ever had Red Gyarados and a Butterfree from a friend safari in XY neither of which really count.

Yet I am on the second island of Sun and have caught a Shiny Cubone and a Shiny Phantump already. Maybe my luck has just turned around?
