A rain team with your own celesteela might be pretty anti-meta here. A SS Relicanth could really take a bite out of this team with head smash, maybe even doing alright neutral damage to celesteela or a Tirtouga could go mixed to deal with chomp. You run trick room Oranguru and instruct Torkoal to use eruption. It uses it twice in one turn basically fucking everything that doesn't resist fire or have massive special bulk.

The strategy has flaws though. For one it gets completely cucked by wide guard. Another flaw is Oranguru is a massive target and will likely die turn one against any opponent that has been following the meta at all. Also people bringing in Pelipper to stop the sun or using priority moves to weaken the eruption will also hinder the sweep.

Best way to deal with those things is to plan a team around Torkoal. You don't lead with him, you lead with Oranguru + Smeargle and customize the smeargle to help guarantee the trick room setup. Follow Me and Taunt are essential. Follow me redirects if they don't have a roar/whirlwind user. Taunt stops roar/whirlwind. Other two moves are filler, so get creative.

Toxapex isn't useful in vgc. I usually just ignore it if the opponent has one since I run Tapu Fini. Can't burn or toxic anything under misty terrain, hits like a noodle, and has no support moves that are relevant in doubles.

What are "the" championships? It's a long season. The rules basically say that if it's in the Alola dex, was caught, hatched, or gifted in SM, and obtainable without hacking, it's allowed. If at any point in the season something previously unobtainable becomes available, it's legal from that point.

The only thing unclear right now is whether Kantonian forms whose basic stages also have Alolan forms will be legal post-Bank.
