This is the first time I've made an entire team purely of Pokemon that I like for their appearance, and it's actually made the game challenging. Fearow is really fucking fragile, but when he crits with Sniper it's actually pretty decent. Komala turned out to be an unexpected powerhouse. Yes, I'm not evolving Litten.

This dragon is complete ass honestly. You get it so late into the game that it honestly isn't worth having at that point. Chore to train, and when it finally does evolve, it still can't take a hit to save its life. I'm trying to make it work but when literally every NPC other than Team Skull members consistently have Flying, Fairy, Psychic and the occasional Dragon move, it's hard to keep it going. I've used more revives on it than on the rest of my team put together, and mine has a +Defense nature. As well as having shitty niche abilities all around. And its dread locks look dumb.

This is the team I beat the elite four with. I was switching people out like crazy up to that point. I can't believe Magmortar was there the whole time. I kept looking for something fiery to replace Arcanine with but it just didn't happen. Spent a while with Salandit in my party but nobody fucking told me it doesn't evolve unless its a female so thanks for that game freak.

Basically I wanted my Alola teams to follow the structure of Grass/Fire/Water/(Rock or Flying)/Fairy/Fighting and I've got teams for each to git for each starter. The Decidueye one is my actual team.

Incineroar/A-Exeggutor/Araquanid/Toucannon/Mimikyu/Kommo-o
Primarina/Tsareena/Salazzle/Minior/Comfey/Bewear

And also the most / A E S T H E T I C / team that you'd get from that is probably Tsareena/Turtonator/Araquanid/Minior/Mimikyu/Bewear, which I think is a pretty iconic team for Alola in the same way Blue's in HGSS was for Kanto

Anyway that's my team and planned teams for future playthroughs yeah

I'll tell you all right now that this team sucks. Shit coverage, overlapping weaknesses, and slow as fuck. It was a struggle getting through the elite 4, and even the postgame stuff is just a pain in the ass because I never seem to have a good type match-up to counter opponents. I always choose my Pokemon teams just based on how much I like the look of them, but this is the first time it bit me in the ass.

Best members of the team are Mudsdale for his excellent ability, and Passimian for actually being able to outspeed stuff. Turtonator was swapped out occasionally for Minior or Kommo-o. Kommo-o had WAY too many overlapping weaknesses, and I got sick of Minior's "shields up" animation every fucking time he goes into battle. Who's idea was that?

I picked Komala because Comatose is effectively status immunity outside of Confusion, and because Breakneck Blitz looks hilarious. Mine runs Bulk Up/Swords Dance depending on the day, Sucker Punch, Thrash and Wood Hammer. Normalium Z or Leftovers held, Max HP, Max Sp Def, 4 Attack. Chore to train? What are you on about? You can find them on level 43. One level up, boom, evolved. Another level up, boom, evolved again.
Also Bulletproof is amazing. And it has one hell of a lot of good moves it can use. Dragon Claw, Sky Uppercut, Brick Break, Aerial Ace, Poison Jab, Earthquake, Rock Tomb... so long as you aren't stupid enough to use it against Fairy-types, it can hold its own just fine.

The Ninetales in that team perplexes me much more since you get it in the last fucking area of the game.

I'm having a lot of trouble balancing my team. This 3/6 Psychic weakness isn't great, so I'm considering replacing Bewear with Pangoro, since I want to keep both of my Poison-types. A-Sandslash is another option, but I think I'll have to wait until the last island for that.

I'll probably replace Oranguru as well, maybe with Mimikyu or Minior. Mimikyu seems the best option, since it can learn Thunder Wave and I really need something that can inflict sleep or paralysis.
