Unless something got changed Quick Balls are still x5 catch rate on the first turn, while Dusk Balls are x3.5 in caves or at night. Another great ball type are Timer Balls, that have x4 catch rate after 10 turns (and you'll always waste at least that much against a legendary).

Nearly every pokemon I've ever caught since the Quick Ball was introduced is in a Quick ball

Probably the worst ball design-wise. I look on the GTS and see almost everything caught in a quick ball, which reflects laziness. Also yellow and blue look disgusting together.
