Honestly it depends on how you think of it. If you think of it in Star Trek terms, yeah, that's not ideal because you're being broken down into your constituent particles then transferred across space to your destination, where you are reassembled. Lots can go wrong. If you think of teleportation as creating a bubble in spacetime around your Abra/you, then transporting that bubble to another location in spacetime, there's no big issue because the same you that left is the one that arrives and there's no dis/reassembly required. Unless you arrive somewhere you didn't intend to, but that just means your Abra is out of calibration.

Depends on the theory behind the teleportation. If it involves destroying your constituent particles and recreating you at the destination, a la Star Trek, the argument can be made. If it involves warping space, then you remain undamaged yourself, and are fine. I always imagined Abra's teleportation to be the latter.

Well I know there's the weird bits here and there, but those seem less like major food sources and more like minor cultural things. How do they feed all those people? Are they all vegetarians?
