ok so, i'm ev training my last team member, a mareanie. i was thinking of doing hp and sdef, but i dont like leaving it open to getting bodied so hard by earthquake.

if a basic 1 ev mon gives 9 ev with the power item, then that's doubled by chaining, making it 18, which is also doubled by pokerus, making it 36, it's possible to put 144 into both def and special def, and the rest (222) into hp. would this be a good idea for an even defensive spread? or would it be better to focus on one defense stat over the other?
