Did shinies get more common or something? I ran into a shiny Sandile on Wednesday, and a shiny Golbat tonight.

Maybe, I caught two shiny magby in the same day before I ever got a timid salandit. This game is weird.

They are 1/4000 since Gen 6. Supposedly SoS mons are 1/200
1/4000~
>>30461742
It was lowered to a 1 in 4000 chance.
>>30461742
There's an increased chance of pokemon being shiny if they appear when another one calls for help, if that's what you're wondering.
Also the shiny chance was doubled to 1/4096 since Gen VI

Neither was an SOS mon, they were both initial encounters.
Guess my luck's just fuckyand can't be assed to give me shinies of mons I would actually like
>>30461742
They sure do.
I got a Golbat and teo days later I got aDitto.
Both where the starting encounter too.

>teo
Two*

I've caught all 300 fucking pokemon and then some more and I never got a single fucking shiny
What the fuck

>not liking krookodile
>not liking GOLDEN GOD krookodile
>>30461742
Weird, I found a shiny Zubat a few days ago too. This was after getting nothing from any Gen 6 game, too.

Over all of your playthroughs without any shiny-boosted conditions, what is your sample size that suggests that shinies may have gotten more common?
>>30461742
Seems like it. Hatched over 1000 eggs with MM in ORAS without a single shiny. Only hatched a few eggs in SM and already have one.

Hatched a box of 30 feebas to trade for dex completion. 2 out of the 30 where shiny
I got my first Shiny this generation. It was a Psyduck.
That's my only Shiny so far. Doesn't seem overly common to me.
This week I got a shiny Peliper (Bad nature without Drizzle), Petlil, and just got Gumshoo.
