This list is almost perfect. I'd just swap Bianca and Dawn. I don't know why, but I really liked Bianca's character. She realized she sucked at battling, but ended up not really giving a shit and doing it anyway. Dawn was just...forgettable.

They're honestly the only two that felt like real rivals. Blue was an asshole who was notorious for catching you off guard, and talking shit even when he lost. Silver was also a dick, but he at least had some development and ended up being an okay dude despite being a thief.

The rivals these days are just friends who battle you occasionally. To me, a rival always makes me go "Oh, here THIS asshole again...".
