So many pokemon fill rowlet's niche early in the game and you're faced with having redundant typing with pokemon that do rowlet's job better or an empty-ish roster.

Popplio gets lineally better as the levels go.
Litten has a drastic turn in the end, but it's never a burden.
Rowlet is good at the very start and great at the end, but there is a plateau in which Dartrix does jackshit.
