These SOS battles are really making catching Pokémon such a goddamn chore.
I'm trying to catch an Oranguru, but the asshole summons a new Trumbeak every single time I take out one of those stupid birds, on the same turn. I've killed like five birds already and haven't been able to throw a single ball. Who thought this was a good idea? I like the mechanic in principle, but in practice it's just such a hassle. Is there like a hold item that prevents SOS battles?
Also S/M whining thread I guess.
Always have a member of your team that can paralyze or put pokemon to sleep, it really is a blessing

The worst part is the pokedex don't even tell you which pokes are exclusive to SOS battles, you actually have to google it. I spend a full day trying to find a happiny the normal way.

Status m8. Status seems to vastly reduce the frequency of SOS call attempts. Some even report that pokemon stop calling entirely when Paralyzed. They definitely cannot call when fully disabled such as Sleep/Frozen.

Can they still call for help while paralyzed/asleep? I didn't think that'd actually stop them, since they can still call for help if they flinch.

At least there's a cutscene telling you about Mareanie.

Yes, any status condition stops them from calling help. Those two are the best though if you want to catch something though and I just prefer those two to like poison or burn

You think regular SOS are annoying? Wait til you try weather exclusive SOS, or farming for items held exclusively by SOS pokemon.
The biggest blunder are 1%-5% SOS shitters.
What the flying fuck is with that encounter rate?
