do pokemon need to receive experience for pokerus to spread, or can i turn xp share off, fight 1 battle to infect my party with pokerus, then stick the spreder back into my box to preserve it?

Does anyone know if anything's different if you stay in the "alternate universe" place where you pick the Cosmog from? Since it's optional to go back to your own dimension I thought there might be some secrets other than the altar/lake switching places.

i put two pokemon into a maxed isle evelup for the full 252 EV gain in two stats, but their summary isn't showing a sparkle for the stats like it should be, i then withdrew them and got them to level 2 to see if it would update them but nothin
