Pheromosa - High Jump Kick vs. Jump Kick

For battle tree, you should always minimize risk, as one small 5% chance will happen over the course of dozens of battles, and the AI will cheat.

Battle spot though, just go for Hi Jump Kick. A miss just means at worst you lose one battle, pheromosa is too frail to not hit as powerful as possible to ensure it doesn't get hit back

Low Kick isn't that bad either.

Has the speed creep gotten this bad?

I got the 50 winstreak with High Jump Kick and Focus Sash, but I certainly did minimize the risk by only using it on stuff my other two mons had trouble with. I don't think Jump Kick is worth it for 5% accuracy considering all the OHKOs you miss out on.

Mega Alakazam can outspeed it if it doesn't have a speed boosting nature.

Really, just running Jolly + Choice Band is good enough.

No seriously, why on earth would you use a freaking sash on such a great mixed attacker? I understand that in battle tree, but in pvp his HJK nail do many ohkos it's impossible to ignore.

My butt always clenches when I use Hi Jump Kick but it seems to land consistently enough. I might remove it though because it's got enough coverage that I only use it when it's super effective, in which case I imagine any fighting move will OHKO.
