X and Y were great. ORAS were shit just like the original.

X & Y was my favorite Gen when it released.
All of the new additions and graphics were a much needed refresher for the series.

The region was awesome and I can't say that there are very many unlikable XY pokemon at all. They are all really, really great.

I do understand people's frustrations with the difficulty or the story though.

I don't hate Gen VI like the vocal shitposters do but I am disillusioned by its sense of incompleteness. There were many elements of XY that felt unfinished, and even the pacing of the game reflected their initial intentions, going by the length of time necessary to get to the second gym. ORAS pulled the same trick with the Battle Frontier, and a lot of people were upset by that.

I'm grateful for things like horde battles, Friend Safari, Soaring in the Sky, 3D models, Dex Nav, and the emphasis on beauty that Kalos brought, among other things, and I mention these things to make it not seem like I'm just one to complain.

I think a lot of people act out to an exaggerated extent because they wanted the full thing that GF envisioned. Whether it was a test run they didn't feel the need to go all out for or Nintendo rushed GF to produce these games because their market was failing, it's pretty evident there was something going on.
