As somebody that played XY and enjoyed it, here's a list of the main problems:

Larvitar is a fucking 5% chance in Mount Silver, Dunsparce is 1% in one cave only without swarms, Skarmory is 5% in one certain route in one specific version, Sneasel is 10% only at night only at Mount Silver, Snubble is 1% on a certain route outside of swarms, Miltank is 5% on two routes, one of them being tiny...
Hell, then there are all the pokemon that can only be gotten by doing the slowass headbutt on every tree you see.

Honestly, I feel there needs to be huge reform in Game Freak's staff. They are blatant underacheivers in their work and it's clear they need some new director/producer as Ohmori and Masuda are half-good in their interpretation of the series. They legitimately need 5-6 years to develop a new generation to top Platinum/HGSS + need Masuda & Ohmori to work on SM2 & Sinnoh remakes

The box legends represent abstract concepts (truth, ideals, wuji) as opposed to concrete things (land, sea, sky, space, time, antimatter, etc.) Plus, just like real-life kanto, Unova doesn't really have much of an establishment in lore. The closest thing it has to a place of lore is Nacrene City's museum Unless Dragonspiral Tower counts, didn't see much there during my playthrough
