A ghost with Trick/Leppa berry is better.

Beldum can't hit you and take recoil. and the leppa berry extends the fight before struggling.

I never needed to catch Beldum because Metang keep showing up at my Poke Pelago for some reason.

They have a catch rate of 3, which is the same as most legendaries.

This is because Beldum was originally a gift Pokemon in Gen 3. Now they're regular wild Pokemon, but Game Freak never fixed the catch rate.
