Still, the Pokedex mentions that Necrozma had been underground for a long time. What brought it up? It seems to pop up after the post-game and is in constant pain. Maybe it's not pain and just like the previous UBs just felt an energy and was attracted to it. It was trying to get home and was frustrated that it missed its chance.
