People bash this game saying that Stadium was better because it was tons of fun even without a main series game. But that's thing, this was made with the DS games in mind, and you're gonna need them to properly enjoy the game. In my opinion it was great, and the fact that the Pokémon ran up to one another and hit each other directly was a nice touch.

Could they do it again? Their games were difficult at times. ColoGoD were hindered by gen III not having many choices in competitive items (hence why almost everything had a Berry or Leftovers) or even moves but I heard PBR were much better in that regard.

I loved all the hype of the announcer, and the characters' animation.

I wasn't even mad when I lost online, still had tons of fun.

Thanks to this game, gen 4 was the gen that I played the most. Love everything about it, it really captured all that Pokemon was about in my opinion.

How come a home console game with battling only where you can load your team from portable games is not a thing for every generation?

I always felt like they understood Pokemon way better than GameFreak
