All i wanted was alternate costumes for all the playable pokemon.
It would be a super easy way to make the roster look more vibrant and represent more characters
They might look a little funky since they have to be applied to the base pokemon's animations, but they all look funky in pokken so they might be passable.

What tournaments? The comp scene for Pokken was aborted due to how garbage it is to setup, mainly for a lackluster game. If you want to pull the dickwaving card, I did managed to get B1/A5 before getting bored of it.

No, why pokken is dumb is because it's all about mindless offense. With one glaring exception (mewtwo is the only one where 'Hold R to win' is a strategy), every character is just overwhelmingly safe on block (since the fastest attacks in pokken are 9 frames, being -8 is safe) outside of a wild-ass guess that some characters (looking at you, Chandelure) just don't have to deal with after a string gets blocked.

Of course, that's without going into the distilled aids that is braixen.

Finally, they decided to leave the game in a terrible state of balance with 1.1.3, leaving in a glitch that greatly benefits an already-cancerous character, slapping bandaids on other gaping balance wounds, and thoroughly destroying a character that didn't really need it.

Pokken arcade data was ripped very soon after the game was released. The Japs who rip arcade games are VERY paranoid about getting caught, so arcade data is only passed around in online communities that are very hard to get into. The few westerners with access to it make sure to keep it on the downlow too, because they'll lose access if shit spreads around.

I mean, the texture thing is mostly just a nitpick because it's not as noticeable when you're playing (mostly the renders are nasty) but I think cel-shaded would have looked best for Pokken from the start.

Gengar is one of my faves. Weavile is in like my top 15, Chandelure and Empoleon maybe top 25~30. But I'm cool with all the roster choices except Lucha-chu is an absolute fucking disgrace. Braixen is dumb and annoying, but some people like her so whatever. Shadow Mewtwo is a faggot and was completely unnecessary but it IS the Tekken folks so you gotta give em one big bad assblaster. Literally everyone else is a great choice.

There just isn't anything to DO in Pokken besides fight and nobody is gonna care too much about that until:
A) the roster doubles

B) they add multiple game modes
